Carla Bourne - Director and Lead Occupational Therapist

Carla Bourne is a dedicated Occupational Therapist who graduated from the University of the Sunshine Coast. Being AuDHD, Carla has a strong passion for neuro-affirming practices, celebrating individual’s unique strengths, interests, and preferences, rather than trying to ‘fix’ them. This approach promotes self-acceptance and meaningful participation in daily life. Carla is also skilled in working with masking individuals, tailoring interventions to meet each client’s needs and empowering families to support their loved one’s growth in familiar environments. Carla endeavours to incorporate a client-centred and collaborative approach, by building strong, trusting relationships with individuals and providing evidence-based care to promote independence, and fulfilment in all areas of life.
