Carla Bourne is a dedicated Occupational Therapist who graduated from the University of the Sunshine Coast. With a strong focus on neuro-affirming practices, she celebrates each individual’s unique strengths, interests, and preferences, rather than trying to ‘fix’ them. This approach promotes self-acceptance and meaningful participation in daily life. Carla’s passion extends across a range of therapeutic interventions including parent coaching, sensory processing, motor skill development, anxiety management, school readiness, and play skills. Carla is also skilled in working with masking individuals. Tailoring interventions to meet each client’s needs, empowering families to support their loved one’s growth in natural environments. Carla endeavours to incorporate a client-centred and collaborative approach, building strong, trusting relationships with individuals and families, providing evidence-based care to promote resilience, independence, and fulfilment in all areas of life.
